Check out thinkgeek for the SmartID:
http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/accessories/6447/

And you can find the Kensington WiFinder at Best Buy.

The SmartID is a 2.4 GHz detector (it goes crazy within range of an active
microwave oven.) The Kensington product is supposed to be able to filter
out everything but Wi-Fi (it does *not* go crazy next to a microwave oven.)

They both work in their own right.

Subject: [SOCALWUG] Wifi Detectors ?

Has anyone had any experience with the Kensington WIFI detector:
http://www.kensington.com/html/3720.html

Or the Smart ID one?
http://www.smartid.com.sg/prod01.htm

I can't find anyone that sells the Smart id here in the
U.S. Anyone ever used one? Or are they just toys?

John
