It detects only 802.11b and not other bands and blocks out MW ovens and cordless 
phones. Comes with a one year warr and made in China. It sniffs for 2 minutes then 
automatically shuts off. It displays a WiFi signal with up to 3 idiot lights in green 
to indicate a rough signal strength. Simple to use.  Have not given a hard test but 
used in 3 areas thus far and worked okay.

No but I think I heard that the Kensington only detects  networks
that broadcast the ESSID.
