Mike, I do not know what is available in the Southern Cal area, but in some areas of the countryI know that this is off topic but since there are many techies here, I figured that I'd ask. Has anybody here had any experience with doing any computer related volunteer work in the Los Angeles area? I googled the topic and came up with some results but I really don't know what to look for or which organizations are good.
Oh, and also, what are some good places to donate/recycle used computer hardware? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Mike

Posts. In the Tampa, Florida area, I have been the "Executive Advisor" for an Advanced Computer
Programming post where I work with 14 to 21 year old "young adults". If you do not want to work
with that program, you could always check with the local school system, Boy and girl clubs, etc.
I have found that trying to teach (and structure) young programming minds has been a real challenge
and I have learned more trying to teach them then I had to know for my full time job. You can see
some information about our program by visiting http://post227.org and/or http://post227.net
Any questions - contact me off net - you can find my email address there and many other places.
