If I have an external antenna connected to a laptop
and try to pick up the wireless access point from 300
yards, I have no problem. I get an IP address and
everything. I'm able to ping the AP, other clients
hooked up to it. However, I'm unable to get to the
web do file sharing etc. I know that it works when
I'm close to the access point. Does the access point
also need an external antenna to shoot the signal back
to me?
