Subject: RE: [SOCALWUG] Antenna Orientation

Also consider, how a warehouse full of omni antennas will work. They'll
receive interference in 360 degrees. Including the distant AP's within
the
warehouse that are on the same frequency (You only have channels 1,6 and
11)
and interference from AP's (and devices) outside the building. How many
AP's
will be inside the building? How big is the interior location? Have you
had
a site survey by an RF engineer with a Spectrum Analyzer? Part of the
site
survey will determine the polarization of the interference, horizontal
or
vertical.

These days with all the use of 2.4GHz, phones, video and WiFi, I've had
better success using panel or sector antennas. This limits the amount of
interference that each AP receives and directs the signal to the area
most
needed.

Thats another good point Larry, thanks! But these antenna will not be
mounted outdoors, they will be insalled in a warehouse type of building.
