There is a project in Cerritos, but my understanding is that it's a private
enterprise building it. We had the Hermosa Beach Mayor at a past SOCALWUG
meeting, we were told that the city was funding that project. He did not
mention Federal funding.

BTW, on the front page of the Business Section in today's LA Times is an
article about WiFi and it's affects on government policy. There is a photo
of a Tropos outdoor mesh device.

I have not heard of a project for Carson City. But city supported WiFi seems
to be the popular thing to do these days.

I've heard stories of Federal matching grants, but I don't know any details.
