Culver City wifi was live last night I was able to log on and a speed
test was about 3 mb download.

One ant. Is atop the Culver City hotel and the other is atop city hall I
have not found a third yet.

I was near culver blvd and overland with a fixed wireless setup in my
truck.
(Orinoco gold card, rflinx amp, wifi plus antenna)

Today I was able to use the internet on culver blvd north of centinela
that must be at least 2 miles and still got almost 1 mb download.

Their ap's have very strong signals compaired to others.

I have been using this system in my truck for almost two years and this
is the strongest signal I have ever seen.

In the next few days I will see if I can find the time to test with my
internal laptop card.

Sincerely,
Scott

"This week, Firetide and Wireless Hotspot announced the deployment of a
free
citywide wireless network in Culver City, California. The hotzone, which
covers about a mile, uses three of Firetide's HotPoint 1000R Outdoor
Wireless Mesh Routers. It will be officially unveiled in a ceremony
hosted
by the city on September 9."
