I posted a few of the current locations for the LA community network at http://www.socalwireless.org. We have about 6 locations connected. We will attempt to do installs each weekend. Several organizations are preparing a large grant request for funding. In other cases people are connecting with whatever they have or can purchase. I'd like to see mostly fiber connections in Venice. Many types of physical connections will become part of it. The design includes two 100Mbit pipes, one in downtown LA and the other in Marina Del Rey. Anyhow, more on the network later.
