I know many Southern Californians vacation (and sometimes work) in Hawaii, but speaking specifically of Kauai, North Shore, what's the WiFi availability and saturation?
Well, if you're around Kaneohe Bay (different island), there is this 1W (into 5dBi of antenna) AP hanging on the house. :-)
My family has a timeshare in Princeville, and I'm going over Mid-March for a couple weeks. The last time I was there (4 years ago maybe), I used my dial-up provider which was not only slow, but cost me extra on top of my monthly fee. This time, I'd like to find some wireless internet access, either near our condo, or available from within the condo.
Its unlikely that you'll find one thats free. Might I suggest a 200mW card and an 18dBi antenna?
