Wireless APs are around.  But they're hard to find in kauai.  Don't go where 
the tourists are; go where the locals are.  you'll find loads more there than 
in the touristy areas.

Also, there are some internet cafes, and many hotels have a computer available 
for checking email.  The Plantation Hale for example (the asian lady at the 
desk is very nice, but the slightly heavy set guy is a stickler.  so keep your 
time on the computer there to a minimum or they get pissy, i had to use it for 
online classes, and so i got in a heap of trouble because i took so long.)
