I agree on the hashtag thing. For a brand like Wikimedia/Wikipedia, I suggest that they're only really appropriate when referring to an event or idea, e.g.,
Open knowledge, open ideas, our open future: join us at #wikimania2014 for the State of the Wiki. As opposed to: Open #knowledge, open #ideas, our open #future: join us at #wikimania2014 for the State of the #Wiki.
