One important correction to your final f/g, Heather: A lesson like this teaches a much more important skill set than digital literacy (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_literacy) or media literacy. It teaches information literacy ( http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Information_literacy).
