Hello all, Could someone recommend an English-French dictionary?
It should be "good", but it need not be the best one in the planet. My language exam is next Friday (April 15) and I'm allowed to bring a dictionary. I generally use an on-line dictionary, but now I'll need a paper one. I found three on Amazon that can be delivered in time: 1) Oxford-Hachette French Dictionary: $32.97 -- 350,000 words 2) Larousse Advanced Dictionary $29.01 -- 250,000 words 3) The Concise Oxford-Hachette French Dictionary: $18.45 -- 175,000 words 4) Larousse Concise Dictionary: $8.96 -- 100,000 words 5) Pocket Oxford-Hachette French Dictionary: $8.96 -- 90,000 words 6) Merriam-Webster: $5.39 -- 80,000 words (links below) I think I'll buy (3). $19 USD is right in my ideal price range. But I have no idea if 175,000 words is a little or a lot. So I wanted to ask. Oxford is supposed to be trustworthy, right? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
