Hi Daniel, > Hey, I have a completely off-topic question. Why do you sign emails as > "KHirano"? How do you want people to call you? Did you miss the first part, speaker introduction, of my NPO presentation? http://native-lang.openoffice.org/conference/logs/14-May-2005-Non-Profit.html :)
My name is Hirano Kazunari (in Japanese manner) My name is Kazunari Hirano (in Western manner) So I sign "KHirano" or "khirano" in Western manner, may I? :) You can call me, "Kaz," "Nari," "Hirano," or whatever you like. I was often called "Nari" when I was a student. My mother calls me "Kazunari!" > I know that in Japanese one writes the last name first and then the first > name. You are right. :) > So your last name is Kazunari and your first name is Hirano, right? My first name (given name) is "Kazunari," which means "One Success." My last name (family name) is "Hirano," which means "Plain Field." My ancestors maybe lived in or around Plain Field. My mother and father maybe wanted their first child's life to be a success. Cheers, khirano
