The way I see it is either you consider national parliaments has the only representative of the people, in that case you are against the project, or you consider the fact that in the end the project will lead to a dissolution of the Nation State as good and then you are pro.

Right now, the only legal entities that have any kind of power beyond the Nation State are global companies. No wonder that such a project reflects their agenda a lot. But it is also important to notice that following the French tradition of Human rights (1789-1958-2005?) is also a major step forward if strictly implemented on the regional level.
