Wait a minute, did I miss something? Chad, aren't you the one who always complains that OOo is too bloated with too many options and this and that, and you want to add more to it?

I skimmed a lot of this thread, so maybe I miss the point, I apologize now if I did, but doesn't this contradict your earlier comments.


Now, I agree that the *download* is too big. I agree that you *should* be able to download *just* Writer if you wanted to. But saying that we should never add anything is wrong.

What about if you download an installer and the pick what you want to install and then it installs, similar to cygwin or some other products.
