Even if MS succeed in blocking MA, its only one battle not the war. Its rather surprising that the first battle of this type actually sprang up in the USA. I can see many non-US governments adopting ODF and on a bigger scale than in MA. Look at the publicity we have gained for ODF that was not there before.
