Yes. You are right. My primary intent in suggesting the Advertisement
mechanism is to allow the discovery of new services rather than individual
feeds within those services. And, as pointed out in another message, I'm
primarily concerned with the scale related issues that arise when trying to
provide cross-service aggregation or in serving large numbers of subscribers
that are spread between different services. That's a very different set of
issues than those that appear in discover of private, personal feeds.
