I think you already know I understand your frustration, and sympathize with you greatly. I hope you will reconsider your decision, for your input and insights provide something very valuable here. A unique perspective often otherwise missing from this list. There are very few people who would have the courage, and the ability, and the willingness to exert the effort, to do what you have done through your many articles. To put out a 'draft plan', like you did with 'Municipal Social Credit', and risk getting a type of criticism that is not constuctive, but merely demeaning, takes a very brave individual indeed.
We all have different ways of looking at Social Credit, and what Major Douglas wrote. He is far from being the easiest author to comprehend. There just is so much thought condensed into so few words, despite the volume of his writings. As I said before, who among us can say for certain what all those words really mean? It takes considerable effort, indeed constant effort, for Social Credit is so much more than a simple set of financial proposals, and must be considered as a whole. We need it to be examined in that whole, and not just concentrate on the sometimes seeming inanities of economics. And it will be a great loss in our ability to carry on that examination here if you leave.
I want you to know, and all others on here to know, I did not come to this list to 'fight' with anyone. I came here to learn. And I have learned considerable in the short time I've been here. There have been many new perspectives opened to me by all the participants on here, including Bill Ryan. I did not respond publicly previously, as a few others did, because I did not, and do not, wish to lecture anyone on their manners. Or lack of them. I have not been involved in enough discussions here , over a long enough period, to know the ongoing nature of the participant's individual personalities. You, Michael, obviously have. And so can say what I yet can not. I truly do hope you will reconsider, and stay with us.
And I would be very pleased indeed to receive "Triumph of the Past", direct from its source, if you care to put me on your mailing list.
Best regards,
Joe Thomson
