The reaction of "anti-semitic" is obviously made
in ignorance of the position, but it is not for us to tell them what they
mean by it. Let them do the defining.
Good luck in getting them to do that! That 'anti-semitic' label has become too effective a device the for destruction of concepts and character assassination for it to ever be clearly defined by those who'd use it that way. I think Wally's made a very good point. There really isn't any way to counter a charge whose meaning keeps varying. And could run the whole gamut from those who genuinely do detest Jews, right through to anybody, or anything, any Jew happens to take exception to, for whatever reason. Under those circumstances, there's little point in trying to discuss it.
