I have not observed a slowdown with relation to comBIOS 1.29
or comBIOS 1.30. My net4801-60 arrived with comBIOS 1.28 in
summer 2006 and it is performing as nicely as we can expect
for a geode-based computer.

What are you noticing? A slowdown when booting up the system?
A performance degradation in disk or network I/O transactions?
Are you using a CF as system disk or, perhaps, an internal HDD?
What operating system is running on the net4801-60 embedded computers?
FreeBSD? NetBSD? OpenBSD? a Linux flavour?

Cheers,
Igor.
