I'd like to add jumbo frame support to a 4801, and to that end, I'm
looking to pick up a gigabit adapter. (yes, I realize the 4801 won't
even fill normal Fast Ethernet: it's for the frame size, not the
speed.) Looking at the $30 Intel PWLA8139s, I can't tell if they'll
support the 3.3 signaling in the 4801. The product datasheet isn't very
clear. It claims PCI 2.3 compatiblity, but then says typical power
consumption is 800Ma at 5v.

So, A) will it work at 3.3v at all, and B) can the Soekris supply that
much juice to the PCI slot? That seems like an awful lot. I believe
I'm only providing 1250Ma right now. If it'll work, I imagine I'd have
to replace the power supply.

Alternately, if anyone has any suggestions for something else that would
work well in OpenBSD, I'm all ears.

Thanks in advance!
