Hi Philemon,

I have OpenBSD 4.0 running,
but _no_ samba until now and
just an internal 100GB disk which
is meant to run 24 hours a day.
-->
The disk is a
Hitachi (100GB, 7229rpm,ATA/IDE)
Model: HTE721010G9AT00

I think you should look for a disk
which is specified for 24 hours operating time.
Consumer disks are not meant to run that long
_every_ day.

The power supply of the net5501
must be able to deliver a lot of power - I guess-
with an external drive ?! Have a look
at the power that a net5501 can deliver.

Otfried
