adapter & power cable. Does not look like the unit is designed to run off of
the USB power source, so I'm not sure how much additional power would be
required of the 5501.

Hi Philemon,

I have OpenBSD 4.0 running,
but _no_ samba until now and
just an internal 100GB disk which
is meant to run 24 hours a day.
-->
The disk is a
Hitachi (100GB, 7229rpm,ATA/IDE)
Model: HTE721010G9AT00

I think you should look for a disk
which is specified for 24 hours operating time.
Consumer disks are not meant to run that long
_every_ day.

The power supply of the net5501
must be able to deliver a lot of power - I guess-
with an external drive ?! Have a look
at the power that a net5501 can deliver.

Otfried
