I am preparing to put together a router/firewall with VPN support. I intend to use a net5501 for the main board. I recall reading comments here in the past that implied that the vpn1411 cards had software problems? Have those problems been resolved? Is the card worth adding to a router to get hardware-assisted encryption/decryption for VPN tunnels?
