Hi All.

I'm having trouble with my USB hard drive connected to my net5501-60. It
is very slow, as if only connected with USB 1.1. Then I read the change
log of comBIOS which has the following line:

  * fixed incorrect USB 2.0 reporting on net5501

So I thought I should update the bios. I downloaded b5501_132i.bin to my
PC. Then I tried to transfer it to the soekris using "cu" (I don't have
tip, and it's not in the Ubuntu repositories), but after transferring
files there is a bit of garbage printed in the console, I tried a few
times with slightly different garbage each time, at one time I
recognized some strings from the comBIOS boot messages. So it would seem
that the soekris aborts the transfer prematurely and the last part of
the transfer is echoed in the console.

Not wanting to take any chances, I did not flash the comBIOS. Instead I
tried transferring the file with minicom, but that only times out and
nothing is transferred.

Have you updated the comBIOS and how did you go about it?

Regards,
Pontus.
