Yep-- I agree...I just can't do it right now.. Here in the land of No Sleep and
Many Hats, down the hall I have a passive backplane ISA 90 Mhz pentium still
running a cooked

FreeBSD 2.0.950412-SNAP #3

driving a TTL logic wire-wrap ISA card, a Comtrol ISA multiport serial
interface, and a 3C-509b with an AUI port on the back (thats connected to a
Delni on a closed network thank goodness). (With more than acceptable uptimes no
less, considering).

(I used to do more kernel-mode stuff here for some types of things on much
slower hardware, so the moving OS-target was harder to manage. I *just* moved a
*bunch* of non-product-based-stuff to RELENG_62 from RELENG_3, and into
userland.)

Mr Wire Wrap and the rack full of ancient Motorola-based SBEs and other stuff
with Lance ethernet chips that he talks to is just *lobbying* to be ripped out
and replaced with a whole bunch of little green boxes. I can hardly wait. :-P

Sound advice though, maybe on the next iteration.
