Hi all,

I would like to share a little feedback about a problem I am facing just now.

About a year ago I bought a net4801-60, and a few days after its anniversary
date, the box went
into a constant reboot for a whole day.
I was a work during this and I could do nothing but observing it reboot about
every half an hour.

What I did was removing the Wifi card, and the box was up and running again.
I supposed it was a hardware issue concerning the pci wifi card, and quite
pleased the box was
back online.

I must apologize to the wifi card for all the cursing on it, because by the
next morning, when I
woke up, the box looked as good as dead.
It was flashing all its LED like a fancy chrismass tree, seeming to scream
"Help me, Help me", and
nothing at all was showing up on the serial port.

I was in great despair, when I finally had an idea, which happened to be the
good one.
I took the power supply from my switch (which is a 7.5V/1A, as far as I
remember), plugged it in
in place of the original on, and I had the pleasure to see my OpenBSD boot
process going all
right.

I think I am not the only one experiencing this issue, and here are the
characteristics of my
power supply:

SBD212
s/p: 0602-05684P/b
Made in china (but aren't they all ?)

So if you have a similar one, beware...

Best Regards,

Frédéric RABOT
