Ok. Great. That can be the lower-boundary.
In the search for n serial ports with n+1 ethernet,
maybe one of these could be used:

... plus the flat cable on a
net5501 with a lan1641 added, that would give 8 ethernet, plus 6 serial
(4 serial on the USB cable + the 2 built-in)
