Hi Robin,

assuming that you have a laptop or PC with a CF adapter, and since
installing the files shouldn't be much of an issue:

cp -a /mnt/tmpinstall/* /mnt/MY_CF_CARD

or:

debootstrap lenny /mnt/MY_CF_CARD http://ftp.<TLD>.debian.org/debian

.. what's left is making the thing bootable. This has been described

Unfortunately YMMV heavily on this point, mostly because your BIOS may
refuse to cooperate. But at least worth the try I guess, and probably
your only option anyway if DHCP/TFTP won't work.
