Of course, I've tried, with no success. The same is with harddisk: If I 
try to connect 40 GB hdd, with > 1024 cylinders, even first small 
partition doesn't boot, but if this harddisk set to < 1024 cylinders 
(switch on hd, this decrease size to 32 GB), my device boots without 
problem.

I think this is pboblem(bug) in bios that hang on disk with > 1024 
cylinders and don't boot. Similar problem I had few years ago with 
standard ASUS motherboard (P5).
