Hi all,

I think I might have bricked a net5501.

I was having some trouble with getting a net5501 to boot off a CF card
when I had an IDE HDD fitted. After some google'n I tried the following
commands in the monitor

set FLASH = Secondary
reboot

After about a minute nothing was happening so I pulled the power and
plugged it back in. Since then the board has been nothing more than a
malfunctioning set of traffic lights.

If I power it up with no HDD or CF in it, I get the green power and red
light on. If I pop a drive in it, the orange light stays on too. The
lights don't blink or anything.

I think the unit might be bricked. From what I have read online the
net5501 doesn't offer a cmos clear option, like on a standard x86
desktop machine (I know embedded boxes a totally different beast). Is
there any way I might be able to get this thing to boot again?

btw I have tried various speeds for the serial connection and still
nothing.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Dave
