No.

The Soekris is not a general purpose computer. The power supply is not
a part of the system. Many Soekris in the field are powered by wall
warts and I've yet to see one of those do anything as stupid as to
pretend to turn off but not really to do so. Like those PC toys which 
don't even have a true power switch so that you can work on the mobo
without pulling out the mains plug.

Simplicity is the friend of reliability and with heaps of firewalls in
the field, some of them thousands of miles/km/leagues away, I'll vote
for simplicity every time.
