I'm looking for some guidance on what is probably a combios
configuration issue. (Config is at the end of the email.)

I have a few Soekris boxes deployed remotely where I thought I had
done a reasonable job of testing things to ensure that in the event
of a power outage there was a reasonable chance of everything coming
back on their own.

On one site today, which has three net5501 boxes, there was a power
outage. All three are on UPSes (two on one, one on another), but
the OSes (OpenBSD) are not monitoring the state of the respective UPSes.

The problem is that once power was restored, all three were sitting at
the combios prompt. Due to the network topology, I was unable to
remotely get to the console with all three boxes down and had to have
someone on-site manually power cycle them, at which point things came
up.

I know that I tested pulling the plug on these and seeing them come up
again, which leaves me rather disconcerted that they ended up at the
combios prompt.

What settings should be selected to maximize the chance of booting
from the SATA SSD drive under such circumstances? I suspect that
the problem is the BootDrive setting which for all three machines is
    BootDrive = 80 81 F0 FF

Other threads on related topics hint that perhaps I should have
    BootDrive = 80 80 80 80

These machines have a mixture of
    PXEBoot = Enabled
and
    PXEBoot = Disabled
so I suspect that isn't the problem even though I'll disable it on
all of them anyway.

Comments?

If anyone has insight into what failure mode I hit that resulted
in all three machines sitting at the combios prompt, it would
be appreciated.
