Not an horror story, but yes. On one net5501 eth0 works, but front panel LED not (RJ45 jack led is still OK). Stopped working after 3 months or so after purchase. Cosmetic error. This same board locks up often than other two i have (once in a month or so), but luckily hardware watchdog restarts unit after a minute and show continues.
