As we all probably know, case design is not a stronger part of Soekris
team at all (constant overheating issues, HDD mounting over PCB, which
adds another potential overheat risk, non-optimal ventilation holes
placement etc).
Same goes with very picky BIOS-es, at least with Geode based routers.
Even old coreboot code can use serial port console long time since and
offers various boot media choices without much trouble.

Sorry to be heard so critical, but when nobody says nothing about weak
things, then no one at Soekris cares. More than 5 years experience with
various Geode based boards leaves something bad feeling with Soekris not
so cheap boards (compared to other similar devices). By electronic
design those are ok, but case design, end user manual (yes, i point
again to net5501 nonexistent official documentation) and problematic
BIOS issues leaves a room for improvement.
