I run FreeBSD 9.0-STABLE (i386) on my Net6501-70 and without tweaking
the CPU only runs at 600 Mhz:

dev.cpu.0.freq: 600
dev.cpu.0.freq_levels: 1600/-1 1400/-1 1200/-1 1000/-1 800/-1 600/-1
400/-1 200/-1
