No. With the old comBIOS, the CPU always runs at minimum speed (600 MHz), although the linux kernel claims otherwise. With this new comBIOS, the CPU always runs at full speed (1600 MHz for net6501-70, 1000 MHz for net6501-50). In either case, speedstep does not work. I'm using the quirks patch posted by Peter Neubauer to enable the HPET timer. It would be preferable if the stock kernel worked.
