Hi guys,

I got myself a couple of the 4501's to experiment with (AMD ELAN SC520).

I'm however having a bit of a problem...
* I installed Debian 6.0 on a 8Gb CF
* I changed the kernel to i486 from i686
* I shoved the CF into the Soekris & booted with a serial connected to my laptop

I get the grub screen, I get a loading kernel, I get the loading ramdisk.

But the problem is after that, it just appears to hang.

I have the console and everything setup 100%, if I put the CF into a Atomit boots 100% fine.

I tried the Debian i386 kernel on the netinst iso too to no avail.

I then tried the openwrt kernel aswell. All exactly the same issue.

I tried to change some of the bios settings also to no avail. (ConLock, fastboot ... etc) I have the speed now set to 57600 and have tried everything below this.

I then tried booting off our netboot server, it loads a gPXE chain loader, but hangs before gPXE runs.

I then tried to PXE all the above kernels, same problem. It hangs straight after loading the kernel.

I've tried kernel 2.4 all the way up to 3.2 from multiple sites/vendors stating to support Soekris. The ONLY image which works is the M0n0wall
firewall image, this boots perfectly and loads 100%.

I'm a bit lost if anyone can maybe tell me what I've done wrong?

Regards
Nigel
