Sofia-SIP is definitely meant to work also on embedded systems, so memory
usage is an important consideration for the project.

Anyways, the sigcomp stuff is not part of the library (even in 1.11.7) and 
the HAVE_SIGCOMP segments just mark the spots where the sigcomp 
functionality could be plugged in (still on the todo list).

Yes, so this is something we indeed consider all the time. One thing 
currently missing is an easy system to enable/disable stack features. You 
can already do this manually (see my mail linked above), but this 
could of course be made easier to use. Ideas/patches are very much 
welcome.
