 Alex,
  many thanks for the report. I have just given a look at the
schematic of that kit, and I am convinced that, if you reduce the
values of C16 and C17, you can then set the sampling frequency of
SDRadio at 96 kHz, thus doubling the received range. If, after
division by four, the LO is at 7050 kHz, you can then receive from
7002 to 7098 kHz.
