Hello list,
recording of sound under Windows (whatever version it is) can be
performed using the standard tools installed by default with the
operating system itself.
This tools are the:
.Sound Mixer (or Volume Control)
.Sound Recorder

The Sound Mixer enables to select the Audio board, input and output
sources, audio level on each source and other things
The Sound Recorder enables to record and reproduce sounds from/to the
sound mixer and save/load them to/from .wav files.

There is no problem to use this two tools to get the .wav files off the
perfectly compatible SDRadio from Alberto, I2PHD.

The use of this two tools (it would be better to call them user
interfaces due to the fact they are not much more as graphical
interfaces to the existing sound cards).
All the necessary commands to get .wav files from SDRadio are build into
this two simple to use tools.
How to use them is intuitive and help is offered under the "?" menu or
by pressing [F1].

More tools can be usually loaded from the Installation CD-Rs of the
Audio board you have but they don't add any usefull features for the
specific job, the just presented two basic tools suffice.
