Well, for a first test of a QSE hardware you don't need any software.
I have uploaded a test file on http://sundry.i2phd.com/QSE_test.wav
It's rather largish (11+ MB) so I preferred not to use the Yahoo group
space. The file was generated with Adobe Audition, and contains 60
seconds of an I/Q signal, 48 kHz sampling rate, with a carrier with a
central frequency of 12 kHz that sweeps several times from 10 to 14
kHz with a period of ten seconds.

If you play this wav file with, e.g., Real Audio or Winamp and send the
two sound card output channels to your QSE, you can test how it works.
