I found the item on a pc-based synthesiser. It was aimed at longwave and the frequency steps are very narrow :- A PC-Based LowFER Frequency Synthesizer by: Lyle Koehler, KØLR at http://www.mlecmn.net/~lyle/pc-syn/pc-syn.htm I assume that a 100KHz crystal oscillator could be used without division as the frequency standard. 73 Ian
