And, there was a point that was not jumping out at me - Using a DDS 
to make the SoftRock cover a Ham band will probably allow images to 
reappear since the program is only compensating within its 48khz or 
96khz bandpass. I see an unacceptable amount of spurious signals 
with a 9851 DDS, as compared to a crystal osc, so I will relegate 
the DDS to signal generator duty. 

"Stretching" the ability to track phase/amplitude shifts over an 
entire ham band makes it seem that the SoftRock may find primary 
duty as an IF/detector. Here it can "soup-up" older rigs (I have a 
Kenwood TS-520S). The manual preselector in the TS-520S is ideal for 
pre-filtering prior to detection. It is annoyingly narrow. I would 
use it at the 3395khz IF just prior to the xtal filter.
