Claudio: I was checking out what you and Alberto got here and I am thinking it is about the "Push Pull VFO Synchronozer.zip" file which you can get from the soft_radio group file page http://groups.yahoo.com/group/soft_radio/files/
Its there! P.S. The model I have been working on appears to work better with a clock or time base oscillator really high up. Mine works best using a 36 Mhz oscillator time base. The 74HC74 is rated to 80 Mhz on the D input so I am thinking of getting something even faster in an oscillator and trying that in the circuit. I suggest others do also. So far I am trying to work out a scheme frequency wise that is easily replicated in home brew projects and will suit most i.f. requirements as well as homebrew receiver ideas. This does not mean it won't have bugs as various folk try out it in a homebrew scenario. I intend to stay with the circuit and explore how to acheive better performance in time. So if I come back with more information it is because I have continued to research and improve things. I hope to evenetually have it perfected. I suspect that there might be a better relationship with the clock frequency and VFO frequency that when mix in the comparator section might yield the ideal performance.
