That link is in Chinese, but via the few numbers and a few English acronyms
it seems like this is AC97 compliant, 30 Hz - 16 kHz, and no mention of
supporting anything past that. 

Doesn't look like it's the answer for supporting 40 kHz and 96 or 192
ksamples/sec.
