New information!

I had a change to install Winrad to my XYLs computer and test the SDR
HW with her computer's soundcard, which is basically some cheap
44.1kHz/16-bit integrated one. Anyways, the result was, that I was
able to get almost flat 40db image rejection pretty easily througout
the visible spectrum. Of course, it wasn't perfect near the LO, but it
got quite good pretty soon from that.

One noticeble thing though: The phase slider had to be on the right
edge and also the balance between the channels was quite poor, but
what we can expect from those cheap integrated soundcards :)Anyways, I
didn't had to put the "delayed right" tag on and I had pretty good
rejection with just a short adjustments.

James: Would you be supprised if I told you that I "know" you. I've
done several searches through the internet about linux drivers for emu
and guess who is the main hit :)

>I am writing Linux drivers for the E-MU cards.
>I currently have a Linux ALSA driver for the 1212m and 1820m.
>Other cards will follow, as E-MU do actually send me datasheets.
>But Creative themselves do not send me any datasheets on the X-Fi >cards.
