My question is for a 160m SDR receiver that I am building on the
tinySDR concept, the thing is that I am clueless about the kind of
antenna I will have to use for that. Most FM/AM radios available in
the market have to kinds of antennas for reception, 1-the telescope
type,2- the ferrite rod that is inside them. Now when I search on the
internet for a specification for the 160m antenna I see people are
talking about antennas that are very huge(as compared to the market
radio) with a lot of wire. Why is it that way??? Can I use a ferrite
rod connected with a telescope antenna for my project??
