Hello Alberto, thank you again for all the information. I will be trying out the config as you mentioned. Your friend I0CG and his sdr-x project looks very good and its superb to see how much activity there is in Sdr...

Hello Art, even if I have no direct experience on how it was done, you just take the two I/Q signals and feed them to the sound card, which in your case is the Edirol FA-66. If you have installed either the MME or the ASIO drivers for the FA-66, you should find it in the list of the available input and output sound cards presented by Winrad. I don't know PowerSDR, but I guess there should be a method to tell it to not use any sound card for output. As far as I can tell, you should not need any additional cabling wrt what you use when using PowerSDR alone. You just mute somehow the output of PowerSDR, and use it only for controlling the SDR-1000 hardware. > Ok also on the demodulated quality > via Winrad..that would be interesting because the audio is already > excellent especially with Drm sigs. When listening to DRM signals, the audio quality is *not* determined neither by PowerSDR nor by Winrad, but by the specific DRM decoding program you use, usually DreaM. To compare the two programs, you should use either CW or SSB or AM or SAM (ECSS in Winrad). > Maybe you could put me in touch with the guy who set his up.. He is Giuliano I0CG, the designer of the SDR-X hardware : http://www.i0cg.com/sdr-x.htm though I received a similar report by some other OMs. > Happy Christmas Alberto A belated Merry Christmas to you Art, and a Happy New Year 2009 ! 73 Alberto I2PHD ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message.
